Phil Gordon, originally from Texas, has recently taken up residence in Las Vegas was a child prodigy who graduated from college at age 20. He worked on artificial intelligence projects for the military and later cashed sold his technology company during the Internet stock bubble for $96 million. He started playing poker at age 7 for pennies against his great aunt. His favorite poker game is pot-limit Omaha-Hi. Among his list of most respected poker players are Layne Flack, Danny N., Scotty and just about anyone who can make a living at the game, including Roy Cooke, Mason, Sklansky. Gordon is known as one of the nicest guys in the poker world.
