Playing Down to the Last Chip

For addicted poker players, playing the game to its max would be their signal to stop playing. However, for more sane players, knowing when to stop has been a trademark to which they notice their losing run and acknowledge the time to quit while they are ahead. Of the two, addicted poker players would most likely believe in the attitude of not quitting until the get back what they win.

Most of us now that rarely would this happen. This is one reason why most poker players spend countless time in casinos or even online betting stations to play the game that they are obviously hooked on. Winning is everything, but then again there comes a time when gambling has to be though of wisely. It is a wrong attitude to keep on playing when a person is on a losing streak.

Poker players simply just want to get rid of all their exchanged chips and play them until they run out. While this is something that most people would consider fine with them, accumulating all their winnings versus that total amount that they have lost would be short of risky. People just believe in winning and winning to gain more money rather than admitting that they have lost much in the process.

Technically this is the downside of being hooked to poker, the ability of a person to place a line on when to stop. But as long as they have the chips and the money to keep on playing, they would continue to do so. If there is a lighter side that can be seen from it, it is the fact that they are gaining the experience in being aware of different situations of playing poker.

This can be seen as an investment in itself, although it may be a costly investment since the price to pay for educating themselves with poker strategies would need large sums of money that turn into playing chips in the process. But no one enjoys a losing streak and being mature about it would really never hurt.

People can make large antes but still end up losing. The whole scenario is quite simple, know when to quit. Quitting does not have to be in monetary value but more on being practical in playing the game. This is how to put a good account on themselves for poker players who are simply too addicted to it to notice it.
