Maintain Your Composure and Politeness on the Table
While Poker may be seen of as a wild game that can drive the sane man crazy, it is best to keep a low profile and quiet attitude which can garner the respect and manner of thinking that other players on the table may have to deal with. This is not to say that such an approach would be advantageous but everyone knows that rude and disrespectful players will totally get a player of his senses and probably gain the ire of other serious poker players who focus their attention on the game.
Poker may not be the actual game where you would see decent behavior all the time. Different personalities are brought into the game for one reason or another. Some use it as strategy since there are players who would possess a totally different approach to it, a personality that would make the normal poker player’s opponent lose track of how they play the game.
Some would not even use the different strategies of Poker in the game. Poker bluffs are another one of the strategies that players would have. These are done to help in making people use their mind rather than expect what the actual outcome of hands that the bluffer truly does have. Many would be surprised how such people would win games regardless of their actual numbers in tow.
On the table, poker players do not have to be cocky as most would think they would be. They can follow simple codes of poker ethics. This would include the proper way of placing bets rather than throwing them around to look like good hands that are actually not.
Courtesy towards other players would never hurt. No one should act as if they are insane or disrespectful since regardless if such would be part of their game plan or not, it is something that people would really despise.
Avoid being an ass. Swearing and making antics and remarks of an unbecoming person is really irritating. It has not place on the poker table at all.
Keep your comments to yourself. Never act as if you know it all and that you are trying to impress your opponents. It may eventually backfire and be something that you may regret.
No poker player would surely take these tips into consideration. However it should be noted that if you don’t want to be treated in the same way, it all starts from you.
